The Loch

In the centre of a huge mountain range, a single loch lies peacefully; it’s waters the coldest and most nourishing around. It is situated in a giant crater, between the giant rocky peaks beside it, and the curious nature of calm around this place has drawn attention. A wolf pack now resides at its shores, living off the bountiful land around it. Trees are dotted around everywhere, right up to the waters edge, at some points, and the prey is needless to say abundant. A large rock juts out over the smooth, glossy surface of the loch at the north edge, from which the current Alpha can easily call a pack meeting, his howls echoing across the lonely mountains that surround his home…
